Japan (November 14, 2014) – Skai (Japanese subsidiary: Skai Japan K.K. Shibuya-ku, Tokyo) today announced that Rakuten, Inc. has adopted Skai Search, an automated management solution for search engine marketing (SEM), Rakuten Travel (https://travel.rakuten.com/), a travel portal operated by Rakuten that is the largest of its kind in Japan. Skai Search is a technology solution that manages, automates and optimises search engine marketing campaigns across Yahoo! Japan, Google, and Bing, among other networks.
Faced by intensifying competition from other travel reservation sites, Rakuten Travel was looking for a platform that would efficiently manage its sophisticated and complicated search engine marketing, extracting faster and more precise analysis reports and reducing its operating costs.
The decisive factor for Rakuten Travel’s adoption of Skai Search was that, compared to other tools previously used by the company, it is a solution that succeeds in reducing time by automating labor-intensive process and in cutting operating costs. Rakuten was also impressed by Skai’s advanced functionality and capabilities that deliver faster and more accurate analysis reporting, a flexible user interface and high data integrity.
“It used to take a long time to extract analysis data and keyword level modifications, so we urgently needed to reduce time and cut operating costs. We decided to choose Skai Search because it is technology that solves this problem. We are also considering using Skai not just as the particular solution that we were looking for, but also more extensively as a platform because of the more advanced operations that it enables,” says Mr. Yoshiyuki Takano, General Manager of Marketing & Web Design Department of Travel Business from Rakuten, Inc.
“We heard that Rakuten Travel was having problems with manually managing campaigns, so we helped them solve these problems by getting them to adopt Skai Search. Their use of the platform provided by Skai also allowed them to discover new functionality and possibilities beyond what had previously been required of a search engine marketing management tool. We will continue to support our clients to allow them to adapt to change and stay one step ahead,” added Yukihiko Imamura, Managing Director of Asia Pacific Japan from Skai.
