The overarching spending trend across key digital advertising channels in August was maintaining the status quo. Increases in overall spending ranged from just 1% for Paid Search to 4% for Retail Media and 5% for Paid Social ads. In each channel, roughly one-third of Skai accounts increased budgets compared to July.
Ad prices also did not deviate much from the previous month, with the average cost-per-click (CPC) down 1% for Paid Search and up 3% for Retail Media. The cost per thousand impressions (CPM) for Paid Social ads rose 6% for the month. Here, the share of accounts seeing prices increase at least 10% ranged from 22% for Retail Media to 25% for Paid Search to as high as 30% for Paid Social.

Methodology note. For the purpose of these monthly benchmarks, only Skai accounts with spend above a minimum threshold for the previous three months are included in this analysis.
