Skai is seeking a highly skilled Multimedia Video Designer to join our in-house marketing creative team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in video editing, motion graphics design, and video production. They will be responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and delivering engaging video content across various platforms. This role will report to Skai’s Sr. Director of Brand & Creative.

Skai is an omnichannel marketing platform that helps advertisers manage and optimize campaigns on some of the world's biggest publishers - Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap, Amazon and more. We are a creative and dynamic marketing team looking to enhance our video brand with a savvy video pro. This is a hybrid WFH role, with the expectation that the applicant can work from our Chicago Loop office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Create captivating video content for marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotional event materials that effectively communicate our brand message and resonate with our target audience.
• Edit and color grade raw footage to produce high-quality videos with strong attention to detail and brand guidelines.
• Construct final assets in a variety of sizes and formats suitable for different platforms (such as YouTube, LinkedIn, our company website, etc.)
• Incorporate animation, sound design, and visual effects to enhance the overall production value of our videos.
• Use camera equipment proficiently to capture high-quality interviews in a variety of styles and locations.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest tools, asset packs, and plugins to constantly push the quality and creativity of our video efforts forward.
• Resource manage effectively to streamline the video creation process and enhance productivity.
• Work closely with the Creative Director to ensure understanding of project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Serve as the point of contact between the creative team and freelance editors, facilitating communication and on-time delivery of assets.
• Balance multiple projects that are at different stages of approval.
• Produce clean, organized, and technically accurate files.
• Other duties may be assigned based on skills, knowledge, and proficiencies.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a video designer or similar role
• Proficiency with the Adobe CC suite (Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, Audition, etc.)
• Experience with video production and familiarity with A/V equipment and best practice techniques.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and department stakeholders.
• Creative mindset with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and storytelling.
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Previous experience working in an in-house marketing creative team or agency environment.
• Portfolio showcasing previous work demonstrating proficiency in video editing, motion graphics design, and video production.
• Proficiency with animation is a plus.
• Proven experience writing video scripts is a plus.

The annual salary range for this position is $95,000-105,000. The actual salary will vary depending on the applicants experience, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market data. This position is also eligible for additional quarterly bonus compensation through one of Skai’s highly attractive incentive plans, full details will be provided during the recruitment process.
