The data, posted to Skai Social’s Facebook Timeline, shows marketers increasing ad budgets with Facebook at a faster rate than with search engines. Over the course of H1, Skai Social clients grew ad spend on Facebook by 36% while Skai Enterprise and Skai Local clients grew paid search ad budgets by 12%.

Methodology:

To determine growth in advertiser spend on Facebook, Skai examined aggregate data across Skai Social clients, including more than 120 billion global Facebook Marketplace ad impressions. The Skai Social clients included in this research are global advertisers covering a wide range of industries, including retail, automotive, telecommunications, entertainment and finance. Growth in paid search advertising was culled from an aggregation of Skai Enterprise and Skai Local clients across verticals, covering more than 250 billion global paid search ad impressions on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, AOL, Baidu, and Yandex.
