Q4 2018 Key Takeaway #1 – Monthly spending on Ecommerce Channel Advertising, led by Amazon, increased 5X since January 2018
“Reaching shoppers with ECA just makes a lot of sense for retailers,” says Costello. “While other modes of advertising act with varying degrees of success to influence consumers while they are doing something else—socializing, reading news, watching videos, surfing the internet—getting in front of them during the final stages of online shopping with ads relevant to what they’re already shopping for is a no-brainer.”
Q4 2018 Key Takeaway #2 – Instagram spending is up 120% year-over-year with the majority of spending growth coming from advertisers who have been on Instagram for at least five quarters
A lot of attention was paid to Instagram in 2018 by marketers and Stories Ads are the latest trend in advertising. As the Facebook-owned property matures, brands are seeing an incredible opportunity to leverage the visual-driven platform to move the needle with consumers.
